My Gaming Rig – HD4200, Athlon II X4 630 OC @ 3.1GHz
-My Computer- Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Athlon II X4 630 OC @ 3.1GHz ASUS M4A785TD-M EVO Motherboard Integrated HD4200 w/ sideport memory OC @ 795 MHz core 2x2 GB G Skill DDR3 1333 ram @ 1.65V Raidmax 530W semi-modular PSU WD Green 500GB hard drive some generic CD/DVD W/RW Raidmax Quantum Case w/ 5 case fans HP 2009m 20" LCD monitor @ 1600x900 resolution Plays Fallout 3 at max settings w/ no AA and V-sync at 30-40 fps without fraps, 10-30 fps with fraps. Plays WoW in Dalaran at max fps (60, did not unlock fps). Plays Oblivion, Rainbow 6 Las Vegas 2, Battlefield 2 Project Reality mod all on max settings no problem (no AA), Plays Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age Origins on high textures and medium detail at around 35 fps (still looks amazing, can't tell the difference between Very High and medium). Loads games faster than my Xbox 360 and loads windows 7 in 7-9 seconds. Cheap but very nice computer, at $500 it handles like a $700 computer and it doesn't even have a graphics card yet. Looks really nice, stays cool (max temp. recorded was 46 degrees Celsius.) The motherboard CD automatically updates all drivers and comes with easy overclocking programs and the Bios are not hard to navigate. The only thing that is missing is some more ram and a 5000 series ATI graphics card

ok.. thanks for the information..
@N00bGeek95 It should be stable… but I would start and like 700 core and no sideport clock for now… stress test everything for an hour by playing a graphically demanding game (not like crysis, but you know what I mean I hope) then increase in increments of 15 core clock with stress testing until you get something you are comfortable with. If your computer crashes, go 15 core MHz less and if it is stable, that’s what it is.
As I said, not my fault if something goes wrong, do research first
Core Clock: 775
Sideport clock: 1662
Core volt: 1310
Sideport volt: 1500
Is it safe to overclock it straight away according to your value given above?? Should I need to stress test it for the maximum stability??
@N00bGeek95 Check the installation disk, and I think in the tab called “utilities” there is something called GPU NOS, or you can download it from their website. This is what a basic O.C. will look like, but fine tune it to what works.
Core Clock: 775
Sideport clock: 1662
Core volt: 1310
Sideport volt: 1500
Warning: always start adjust with small increments, overclocking can blow up your computer and ruin it. Do your research before you do anything. I am not responsible if you ruin anything.
erm.. I would like to ask since I have same mobo as yours.. How do you overclock your IGP HD4200?? How much do you increase northbridge voltage for HD4200? Do I need any third-party north-bridge cooler ?
my moms computer is better than yours
i commented a while ago asking if it would play doom 3 smoothly, well the answer to that is it runs it on utra settings 40-60fps, im gessing vsync is on but its not in the options.
What power connectors do the case fans have?
What power connectors do the case fans have?
What power connectors do the case fans have?
@maxmod12
#1 getting a graphics card soon ^.^
#2 No point yet with 5 case fans + cpu cooler and my O.C.
#3 Cables don’t obstruct airflow other than one I cant really hide that crosses over the mobo
#4 needs more cowbell xD
#5 No point to O.C. my CPU past 3.2, with the integrated HD4200 being a bottleneck
@wacko506 not yet sadly, but I’m getting a HD 5770 soon (I hope), just depends on when I get the spare money
Don’t you have a dedicated graphics card?
5 reasons thats not really a gaming pc
#1 no graphics card?
#2 stock cpu cooler?
#3 no cable management?
#4 NOT ENOUGH BLUE!!! XD
#5 overclock is too low get a better cpu heatsink and bump it up!! XD
Man you are awesome ! i was an intel lover but now i changed my mind so i buy a pc just like YOUR !
no offence but thats not really considered a gaming pc without a graphic card….
get a 5770 and put it in and then call it a gaming pc!…xD
get an LED cpu cooler too XD
hey. i have same MotherBord and CPU(no OC), god performace for god price
5/5
@xXVisionaryXo I have never played the game, but it can handle fallout 3 on max settings at 1600×900 resolution and around 20-40 fps so I’m assuming it would run Doom 3 great
i have this same motherboard ready for my next budget build, how is the onboard graphics. would it play doom3 on highest settings?
