HDMI troubles on Samsung Syncmaster 2032MW

Problem that happened with the HDMI input on my old Samsung TFT 20" LCD monitor. Now being used on another computer as I couldn't be arsed to RMA it (HDMI isn't needed with DVI-In, obviously). As you can see, there are greenish visual artefacts which appear in certain areas.

I believe it was a problem with the port or the internal HDMI processing chip; I think a dodgy cable caused a short circuit.
Have you solved the problem?
Mine samsung T220 is the same. I´ve connected it with hdmi-dvi reduction. When I connect it with component to my LG lcd tv everything works fine. So there must be problem with hdmi port or with reduction.
