The only two things I see that could be considered good are 16:9 and progressive scan.
852 x 480 is like regular TV – not even close to HDTV which has a minimum spec of 1280 x 720. Your picture will be grainy when compared to an HD television. Unless you're getting this plasma set for some ridiculously low price I would rate it as BAD!
Prices don't go down according to holidays on ebay really. Unless somebody is looking to get something for a gift and it's very popular. For what you're looking at, I wouldn't expect it to go down much. It's a good monitor for a good price. I'd buy it.
